Ariella Hernandez Arida^[1] or Ara Arida (born November 20, 1988, in Alaminos, Laguna, Philippines) is a Filipino beauty queen who holds the title Miss Universe-Philippines 2013.^[2] Prior to her win at Binibining Pilipinas, she was a runway model and was also a contender at the Miss Philippines Earth 2012^[3] representing Alaminos, Laguna.

Ara Arida was born in Alaminos, Laguna, Philippines to Public School Teachers, Estella (née Hernandez) and Arlesito Arida.^[4][5] She is a graduate of the University of the Philippines Los Baños with a degree in Chemistry.^[6] She is a sportswoman who loves the outdoors, especially the beach.^[7][8] Prior to winning the title, Ara competed at Miss Philippines Earth 2012^[3] and was a former Binibining Laguna contestant.
